About Us

At Cozad Community Physical Therapy we aim to provide the highest quality care for the patients of our community.

With a dedicated staff and clinical expertise in physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, massage therapy, athletic training and wound care, we have the diversity needed to provide for all your rehabilitation needs.

At Cozad Community Physical Therapy, we have state of the art equipment available to meet your rehabilitation needs. More importantly, our staff is committed to your healthcare needs, providing the individualized personal attention needed to ensure successful rehabilitation.

As a part of Cozad Community Hospital, the health and well-being of our community is very important to us. Our staff provides health education programs to the communities in which we serve. As healthcare professionals we look to strengthen the future of rehabilitation. To ensure continued excellence, we have been selected as a clinical education facility for interns from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University.

After growing up in the rural Sandhills community of Hyannis Nebraska, Robert attended Wayne State College.  here he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Sciences with a minor in Biological Sciences. He then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha where he received his Masters of Physical Therapy graduating with Distinction. He later completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at UNMC in 2005. 

Robert has been the director of the physical therapy department for Cozad Community Hospital since 2005. He is one of only two physical therapists in the state of Nebraska that is Board certified in both Orthopeadic physical therapy and wound care. He is also certified to perform Functional Dry Needling. For the last 15 years he has been a clinical instructor, where he enjoys mentoring physical therapy students during their clinical internships. The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) has recognized him as an Advanced Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Recently Robert was selected to help teach lab and lecture content to students at the UNMC Physical Therapy site in Kearney. 

Robert is an active member of the APTA and has served on the Nebraska Chapters Executive Board for the since 2011. Currently he is serving as Nebraska’s Chief Delegate.

Outside of the clinic Robert can be found at home spending time with his wife Ann and their 3 children. Robert enjoys sports and the great outdoors. He loves to hunt and train hunting dogs. He also enjoys woodworking and building just about anything.

Jessica Botts earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2009 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota in 2012. Jessica is certified in Women's health, Functional Dry Needling, MediCupping, and LSVT BIG. Besides working in the outpatient setting, Jessica spends a few days each month working at Cozad Community Schools performing school based physical therapy. Jessica enjoys working with a variety of patients with her main interests in athletes, joint replacements, and pediatrics. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband Trey and son Jackson, playing golf and tennis, and getting together with friends and family.

Brett Kollars is a physical therapist who specializes in outpatient orthopedics, manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation and acute care. Brett completed his undergraduate education at Chadron State College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then pursued his dream of becoming a physical therapist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE where he graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Brett has also attained certification for administering the Selective Functional Movement Assessment which allows him to quickly assess movement from head to toe for a more comprehensive approach. As an APTA credentialed clinical instructor, Brett is able to use his clinical expertise to help develop future physical therapists. While Brett enjoys treating a large variety of conditions, his primary interests are in treating vertigo, sports injuries, the spine, and joint replacements.  When Brett isn’t helping people in the clinic or hospital, he can usually be found at home spending time with his family or chasing his ball around the golf course. Alison Feik received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2001. She then attended and received her diploma in Massage Therapy from Omaha School of Massage in 2001. Later Alison obtained her EMT-B license, gained her CPR instructor certificate, and Car Seat Technician Certificate. She is very involved in the Cozad Communtiy Health System by being the Bio-preparedness/Emergency Coordinator and Certified Car Seat Technician. In 2016, Alison received her Certified Medi-Cupping Practitioner Level 1 which she incorporates into her practices. Alison spends her time between the Cozad Community Physical Therapy Department and at the area high school sporting events. In the summer she is involved in helping with the area speed camp for getting athletes prepared for their desired sports. Alison is married to husband Matt and they have two boys Bryant and Austin.

Jessica is a native of Cozad, graduating from Cozad High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Biology from Hastings College and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  Jessica enjoys treating all patient populations with a variety of diagnoses.  In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors, playing sports, and spending time with her family and friends.
